Consistently Excellent
In 2020, Our Lady of the Lake School achieved a remarkable feat by earning the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award from the U.S. Secretary of Education. This esteemed recognition stands as the highest honor a school can receive at the national level. Remarkably, this marked the third occasion since 2004 that OLL has been honored with this award. By attaining such recognition, OLL firmly establishes itself among the top 1% of all schools nationwide, affirming its commitment to exceptional education and its unwavering dedication to the success and growth of its students.

In 2013, OLL became one of the first schools to obtain SACS CASI AdvancED accreditation. During its 2018 AdvancED Engagement Review, OLL received an unprecedented IEQ Score of 388.66/400. The IEQ, or Index of Education Quality, provides a holistic measure of an institution’s overall performance based on a comprehensive set of indicators and evaluative criteria. The Engagement Review Team, a group of distinguished educators from around the state of Louisiana, also awarded OLL an exceptional 27/30 Exceeds Expectations ratings on the Performance Standards. Having been recognized as the model school in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for differentiated instruction and grouping, the team specifically stated that OLL’s students were engaged in quality work in formats that interest them and in which each can experience success, and that the school continually seeks new ways to be successful and to meet the needs of its students in a changing world.
