Faithfully Catholic

Honoring the essential role of parents as their child's primary catechists, Our Lady of the Lake strives to cultivate a strong and enduring foundation of faith within each child's heart and soul. Religious education is presented in all instructional programs starting with Mother's Day Out (2-year-olds) through 7th grade. OLL is proud to be one of the few schools to employ an academic department dedicated solely to religious education, allowing catechists to keep their primary focus on forming students in their Catholic faith. Our catechists are certified by the Archdiocese of New Orleans and equipped to provide their students meaningful, age-appropriate instruction. Additionally, OLL students are given abundant opportunities to put their faith into practice both within their classes and beyond.

Students at OLL begin and end the school day with prayer, attend weekly school masses, and frequently receive the sacraments. Throughout the year, students participate in special activities including feast days and Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter observances. Service projects help students live out their faith with their hands, as well as their hearts.
