Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church is an historic church with a vibrant, active congregation. The church was originally founded in 1850, before the Civil War, by the Benedictine Community of St. Joseph’s Abbey in Covington, LA. Today, the parish is staffed by priests of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. It has grown into the largest parish in the state with over 17,000 parishioners and 5,600 families.

The church and school campus is located in the heart of Mandeville, just two blocks from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain. The beautiful grounds reflect the love and respect for the Catholic faith.
As a community of believers, Our Lady of the Lake entrusts itself to the patronage of Our Lady, Help of Christians, and emulates the Spirit of St. John Bosco. The parish promotes the Holy Eucharist and reverence of the Blessed Mother. It also hosts a vibrant youth program and numerous other ministries.
