Academic Excellence

Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic School is proud to be the only private elementary school on the Northshore to be both distinguished by the U.S. Department of Education's No Child Left Behind program as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and accredited through SACS CASI AdvancED's updated process.

In keeping with the goal of continuous improvement, OLL recently added the SACS CASI AdvancED accreditation to its list of accomplishments. Having already received SACS CASI accreditation in 2003 and the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2004, OLL has become one of the first schools to receive the new SACS CASI AdvancED accreditation.

During the SACS CASI Quality Assurance Review process, OLL received several glowing commendations from the Quality Assurance Review Team, a group of distinguished educators from around the state of Louisiana. The team chair specifically honored OLL with a rare commendation on the establishment of a comprehensive assessment system for monitoring student progress and evaluating effectiveness. Also, in addition to collecting and analyzing data, the school engages in continuous reflection to ensure that decision making remains data-driven, research-based and collaborative.
