Introduction

 Welcome to Our Lady of the Lake Library. We

have a collection of over 9.000 books for students and

teachers to use.

 

 

Library Rules

 

In order for everyone to enjoy and benefit from library use,

the following rules are posted:

1. Talk and work quietly.

2. Show respect for each other.

3. Handle books, computers, and all other library

materials and equipment properly.

4. Computers may be used for:

- getting information on the books in our library

- researching topics assigned by your teacher

- getting information on a subject you are studying

in your class

Student Visits 

Students in Grades Pre-K 4 through Grade 7 come to the library once a week.  Books checked out by the students will be due  the next library class.  During the school year, basic library and research skills are introduced.  Tests and homework are NOT given.

Policy for borrowing library books

             Books checked out by the students will be due  the next library class.  Although fines are not charged, students with overdue books will not be allowed to check out new books until those that are overdue have been returned.  Students will receive an overdue notice for any late books when they come for their weekly library visit.   Final notices will be sent out during the third week of May.

            Payment for lost books or books damaged beyond repair will be based on the replacement cost of the book.
